Hello I was born Antonino Pasquale Cotroneo in Hamilton, Ontario Canada. I now live in Monterey, CA. I didn't realize till i visited Calabria 3 years ago how many Cotroneo's there were. My Father is Giorgio Cotroneo from Santa Roberto, Reggio de Calabria (45 minutes north of Villa San Giovanni) My Mother born Angelina Musitano (Cotroneo) was born in Deglia Nova, Reggio de Calabria. I see there are alot from that area but is there anyone out there from those towns? Very proud to be of italian descent and of being a Cotroneo. I am 46 and just had my first child. My mother was born Francesca Cotroneo in San Roberto, Reggio de Calabria; her father was Francesco Cotroneo and her mother was Angela Cotroneo. She has a sister, Maria Porpiglia who at last notice resides in Rome, two brothers George Cotroneo (Hamilton) and Antonio Cotroneo (deceased) and a step brother Luciano Cotroneo (Calabria). I know I have many cousins in Italy but wonder if all the other Cotroneo's I see on this site are related.

My name is Wendy Crea (by marriage). I googled the name Pasquale Crea (my son, ex-husband, and Father-in-Law) and stumbled upon the Cotroneo Family website while trying to gather family history for my children.I was wondering,if you are a relative, and if it's not too much trouble, would you please share any family information/pictures/updates? My Father-in-Law's mother is Frances(Francesca) Cotroneo. She was married to Francesco Crea and came to America from Calabria around the age of 19. They lived in Brooklyn (Bensonhurst) and had 2 children, Pasquale "Noggie"(6/15/33) and Grace. It is my understanding that Francesco died fairly young. Frances "Nonna" never remarried and is living in Florida at the age of 97. Grace's married name is Maltese. Noggie married Rita DeLisse(11/24/31-12/25/02) and they moved to Phoenix,AZ in the early 60's. They had 2 sons, Frank (9/15/64) & Pasquale "Pat" (4/22/71). Pat & I were married from 11/18/95-2/7/04. We have 2 children together. Our son, Pasquale James "PJ" is 11 and our daughter Victoria Marie "Tori" is 9. We live in Peoria, AZ. He also has another son, Eric James from a previous relationship-he is 18 and lives with his dad. Pat remarried in 12/04 to Kameo Ramer. They currently live in Surprise, AZ and have no children. I apologize for rambling on so, but I'm hoping the more information I provide, the easier it may be for someone to help fill in blanks, or perhaps even add to their own Family Tree... Any info is appreciated. Thank you sooooooooo much! This site is wonderful. My children are only 3rd generation to be born in the states on my husband's side and are very proud of their Italian heritage and want to learn all they can.

Great grandmother was Maria Cotroneo 9/14/80 - 12/19/53, from Catona, Reggio Calabria. She came to Ellis Island on April 22, 1909 with her brothers: Cosmo (32 yrs) and Pasquale (26 yrs) and Son of Cosmo, Nino (1yr). Cosmo's wife and daughter died in the earthquake. Maria married Salvatore Maiorana on 9/3/13 in Johnstown, PA. They had 4 daughters, Angela, Giovana (Joan Phenicie), Concetta (Chet Saly) & Celestina (Tina Lovetro). I am Tina's granddaughter and I'm trying to find any information on our history. christinemharris@hotmail.com
